- Purpose of collecting and holding information
A camera in the consulting room in the Caroline Springs branch is recording sound and video of the session for safety and supervision purposes. Videos are stored securely on the Cloud.
The information is gathered as part of assessment and treatment and is seen only by psychologists. The data is retained to document what happens during the session and enables the psychologist to provide relevant and informed psychologist services.
- Confidentially
All client information is confidential. It includes personal information such as name and contact details, session notes, diagnosis, treatment and assessment findings. They are kept in locked filing cabinets or as secured electronic files. Only authorised staff have access to them. Clients may consent to reveal information to a third party. Under Specific circumstances, client consent is not required to disclose their information. Psychologists may disclose the minimum necessary information to prevent a potential risk of harm to a person, which is not possible without the disclosure. All personal information gathered by the psychologist during the proven of psychological services will remain confidential and secure, except where;
1. a court subpoenas it, or
2. Failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at imminent severe risk or
3. your prior approval has been obtained to
a) provide a written report to another professional or agency (e.g. GP, Lawyer, etc.); or
b) discuss the material with another person (e.g. Parent, partner or employer).

Clients have the legal and ethical right to access their information.
- Mixed Billing Policy
- Fee
Each session fee for private clients is $256.65. Medicare rebate is available for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan and are eligible for ten sessions of psychological services each calendar year. However, the private client gap fee, which is $160.00, must be paid by clients.
- CANCELLATION POLICY
I accept to pay the cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee for less than 48 hours of notice or 100% for less than 24 hours of notice if I cancel, do not attend, or reschedule a booked appointment. This is because:
1. Consulting room has been allocated and reserved for you.
2. Your psychologist has committed this time to you.
The client is responsible for the cancellation fee. Medicare rebate does NOT apply to cancellation fees. TAC and WORKCOVER do NOT pay for it as well.

Debt Collection Costs: The client is responsible for incurred debt collection costs. Session fee: Immediate payment required post-session; EFTPOS.)
